The world’s first 3D printer for chocolate
The world’s first 3D printer for chocolate is now for sale from Choc Edge. The firm is offering 10 of its printers on eBay along with supplies of the chocolate that can be used in the device. The Choc Creator uses regular 3D printing software to move a syringe full of melted chocolate in space and depress the plunger to give the design required.
However, the current model is not food grade and so while you can print your own designs, you certainly shouldn’t give them to a loved one. A food-grade model is in the works and the chocolate shop Thornton’s is said to be interested.
