A stash of gold dust bought for $700,000 (£440,000) last year has gone missing from a Pfizer lab in St Louis, Missouri, US, according to The St Louis Post-Dispatch. Police are now investigating whether it was lost or stolen after an employee compiling an inventory failed to find the item.
According to the report, the company is not talking about the vanished gold until the police investigation is complete. Depending on the purity, the gold would weigh 14–32kg.
