Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from all at Chemistry World! We’re off until the New Year now so thought we’d leave you with this seasonal micro-snowman.
Frosty, here, stands 30µm tall and is made out of balls of tin etched using an ion beam. His nose is a blob of platinum 700nm wide and the parts were assembled using an atomic force microscope.
