I watched with interest this video since I have worked in the paint/coatings industry. Sure BaSO4 is cheaper than TiO2. but look at the relative molar weights: TiO2 is 79.89 g/mol and BaSO4 is 233.33. My calculation would lead me to believe the barium paint would be (std. acrylic paint about 10 lbs/gal) about 27 to 30 lbs/gal. The "hide" is poorer, scrub resistance is most likely poorer and the structure to be painted will have to be reinforced to accomodate the weight. Commercially viable- look at your shipping charges and you will reconsider.
