John Conway's Game of Life shows (crudely) how order arrives from chaos. All that is needed are certain 'rules' - restrictions, actually - that constrain matter to behave in a certain way.
There is also the way random (= chaotic) motions are "analysed" by an existing system. Look at white light, which seen as a wavefront has a non-repeating (chaotic) pattern, yet manages to sort itself into a series of discrete wavelengths (colours) when it encounters a refractive medium (which also suffers randomness on the macro, thermal level).
